Maple Syrup Festival
Each year in April the Friends of Killbear and the Killbear Park Staff host a Maple Syrup Festival. The date of the event usually takes place on the Saturday of the second weekend in the month.
Visitors are able to participate in a tour of the local sugar bush, see sap being “boiled down” in the evaporator and learn about the sap to syrup production process.
During the day the Friends of Killbear provide visitors with a delicious pancakes and bacon meal for a modest fee.
This is a great event where you can shake off the grip of winter and enjoy a day in Killbear Park to celebrate the coming of spring.
There is no charge for participation in the Maple Syrup Festival and the regular Day Use Entrance Fee into the Park is also waived. |
