Everything the Friends of Killbear has accomplished has been through the dedicated work of volunteers like you!
We are a volunteer-based organization and have opportunities for everyone. Choose your level of involvement from flipping pancakes to serving on our Board of Directors. There are always a wide range of volunteer opportunities available. Your involvement is the backbone of our organization.
If you enjoy meeting and helping people then please come and spend a few hours with us each week. Friends of Killbear is a small and very friendly team, and many of our current volunteers have been with us for 10 years! We would be delighted to welcome you. Volunteers are an essential part of the Friends of Killbear and we are so grateful for all the time they generously give.
Nature Shoppe Volunteer
Can you spare a few hours a week to help run our busy Nature Shoppe? Full training will be given. It is a lovely job if you enjoy meeting people, chatting and being helpful.
In return, we will provide you with 10% off purchases at the Nature Shoppe, and free access to the park on days you volunteer. We also host volunteer events, including a staff and volunteer appreciation barbecue in the late summer. We really are a lovely group of people and you will be made most welcome.

Your contribution allows us to support Park initiatives and stewardship. The Friends of Killbear is an official non-profit charitable organization registered under the Canadian Income Tax Act. Consider making a one-time or an ongoing donation. Charitable receipts will be issued for donations over $10.
